Hardwood flooring projects generally take three-five days depending upon the total square footage, the condition of the floors, preparation work, and type of work contracted (install/sand/finishing or resurfacing). Floors that are being refinished and are 600 square feet or less will take about three days. More days are often required if you choose to stain your floor or are installing new unfinished wood. If you are having a pre-finished floor installed, the project generally takes about two days. Buff and coat jobs take a day.
